The Ringles in our family line came to America in the 1700s. They immmigrated from an area northwest of present day Stutgart, Germany. Mathias is the first Ringle of public record in our family. He is listed on the 1790 census. His grave stone reads "Made wagons for General George Washington at Valley Forge, PA 1776 - 1783".
